These are all pictures of our kitchen shortly after our engagement in January 2009. The cabinets are too dark for my taste, but they are well-made and husband would have my booty if I did anything to alter them. He loves dark woods (he's German) and I love light woods (I'm Swedish). As odd as that sounds, I really do think that there's a connection. Again, I don't think that the kitchen had been painted since 1995. We painted it the same cream color as the family room. Here's the difference :

This is my fall kitchen, but this just shows the whole kitchen. Chalkboard by the garage door. I try to write quotes or notes to my husband there.
I have started a collection of blue and white plates so that I can one day put them on the wall of my kitchen. The "Danmark" plate really started the collection. My Grandpa is from Denmark and so I snatched up the little plate as fast as I could. The top two plate pictures are one plate out of a collection. There are four of them that match. Hope you enjoyed the tour of my kitchen ! I will be sure to post when I hang the plates.
